Microdermabrasion

As we age, the skins process of exfoliation and cell renewal slows down. This can cause skin to look dull, tired and fine wrinkles can begin to appear. With Microdermabrasion, an extremely fine mist of microscopic aluminum oxide crystals is fired at the skin. This gentle, painless spray exfoliates the dead skin cells which are instantaneously vacuumed away.

By controlling the power of the spray, anything can be achieved from a gentle buffing of the skin for a healthy refreshed glow, to deeper exfoliation improving the appearance of fine wrinkles, enlarged pores, blackheads, acne and uneven pigmentation.

Microdermabrasion can also help to improve the appearance of lesion and scar formations.

Each treatment takes approximately 45 minutes and in order to achieve the maximum effect, a series of at least 6 treatments is recommended, one treatment every week.

This is relatively simple and uninvasive treatment may begin immediately following a consultation. Following a treatment the skin may appear a little red and sometimes blotchy, however as make up can be applied immediately as there is no down time.
